Ken Block’s F-150 RaptorTrax

Ken Block has done it again. After wowing the world (and YouTube) with the Subaru Impreza WRX STI Trax — a rally-prepped STI shod with Mattracks — back in 2009, Block has released his Ford-based follow-up. Block has just unveiled the badass Ford F-150 RaptorTrax — a tracked and supercharged Ford Raptor designed to be the ultimate “mountain assault vehicle.”

“This project is something I’ve had in my head for a while now,” said Block. “I absolutely love my daily driver Ford Raptor, especially since I live out in the mountains, so to build out this mountain assault vehicle with a Raptor as the base platform made total sense to me. It’s an absolute beast of a machine and I’m stoked with how it’s turned out. Next up is for me to take it deep into the backcountry ASAP to help me and some friends slay some powder on our snowboards.”

RaptorTRAX features snowboard racks, a roof basket, a rear-mounted winch, interior storage for snacks and drinks, an exterior stereo setup for blasting music on-site and plenty of exterior-mounted lighting to help guide the way.

The Ford F-150 RaptorTrax certainly looks the part of a mountain assault vehicle. Built by California’s Special Vehicle Concepts, the Raptor gets a suspension lift to make room for the four beastly Mattracks tracks, a full roll cage, Recaro bucket seats, and for good measure, a Whipple supercharger for the truck’s 6.2-liter V-8. In addition to the performance goods, the RaptorTrax also gets a custom Hoonigan/Monster Energy camo livery, a rear-mounted winch, Rigid LED auxiliary lights, an exterior stereo, snowboard racks, a roof basket, and extra interior storage for snacks while out on the trail.
