I wanted to share this 1956 Ford Courier Sedan Delivery with the Ford Courier pickup truck fans as a tribute to the vehicle that wore the name first.
This is 1 of 8,757 Courier Sedan Delivery’s produced in 1956. Originally powered by a 272 ci V8 but upgraded in favor of a period correct “E” code 312 ci Thunderbird V8 with dual four barrel carburetors and solid lifters at time of restoration. The transmission is a three speed manual. The restoration is about ten years old and was completed to a very high standard. This truck looks and drives excellent. Beautiful paint on arrow straight body and outstanding chrome, glass, stainless moldings and trim. The interior is restored to factory appearance and the engine bay is nicely detailed. This truck is radio delete, it has dual exhaust, dual spot lights, dual mirrors, front bumper guards, red steel wheels with Michelin tires and chrome dog dish hubcaps. The spare tire is either original or original style and the jack is still in place. This Ford Courier will be sold at the Mecum car auction Saturday Jan. 4th, 2020 in Kissimmee Florida. Lot # K85.
